We understand that visiting the dentist can sometimes be a nerve-racking experience. We have sat in that chair, too. Therefore, to alleviate all pain and ensure our patients’ maximum comfort and relaxation during treatment, our practice offers oral sedation dentistry. This form of sedation involves a simple pill, taken orally. You will not be unconscious under sedation, but you will be in a complete state of relaxation and won’t feel any pain. We will carefully monitor you throughout the procedure to assure your safety. In many cases, the sedation has an amnesiac effect on patients, and they remember little to nothing of their dental treatment. Dr. Oppenheimer is one of a select few general dentists licensed to perform conscious sedation, and has been doing so for over 25 years. To find out more about oral sedation dentistry or talk to us about your specific needs, please contact our practice today.
Based on your natural teeth and specific facial features, our dentist can custom-design a beautiful smile exactly suited to you. Stained, chipped, cracked or misaligned teeth can dull a smile. But bonding can quickly and painlessly restore your smile’s natural beauty. During the procedure, a thin coating of plastic or resin is placed over the damaged teeth, strengthening them and making them virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth. To find out if bonding is the right option for you, please contact us today.
An excellent alternative to crowns, our veneers can perfect your smile by masking stains, hiding chips, correcting misalignment, and creating uniformity. Strong and long-lasting, veneers are sometimes called "instant orthodontics," because they can create a straight, perfect smile in just a few short appointments. Veneers, which are made of thin, customized porcelain designed to slide over the teeth, look incredibly natural, are long lasting, and are relatively easy to apply. Please contact us today to find out more about veneers.
Gone are the days when tooth ailments and cavities could only be treated with unsightly metal fillings. Today, modern, tooth-colored fillings made of durable resin or porcelain can be bonded to your teeth for a stronger, more natural-looking effect. These revolutionary fillings are virtually undetectable and are easy to apply. To find out if tooth-colored fillings are a good option for you, please contact us today.
Doctor Oppenheimer performs dental implant restoration by attaching artificial teeth to implants anchored in the bone below the gum line. After the anchor has been surgically placed in the jawbone, excess bone and gum grow around the implant, holding it firmly in place. An artificial tooth can then be attached to the implant. The end result is a strong, secure tooth that is virtually indistinguishable from natural teeth. In addition we are proud to be using the Imtec Mini Implant System for the retention of full and partial dentures. A small implant is placed through the gum into the bone without surgery, and the denture then clips on to the implant. No more lose or sore dentures! Cosmetic Bridges and Crowns
Dr. Oppenheimer can help you create a beautiful smile no matter what state your teeth are currently in, using cosmetic bridges and crowns. Porcelain crowns fit over damaged teeth to create a strong, new surface that looks entirely natural. Using tooth colored materials, porcelain crowns can be custom matched to blend in perfectly with your other teeth. Similarly, bridges can be used to discreetly replace a missing tooth. Bridges combine a new tooth with two crowns that fit over your remaining teeth. Also made of tooth colored materials, bridges can conceal a gap beautifully. Bridges also help protect the integrity of your bite, keeping your other teeth in place. Never has dental work looked so beautiful or so natural. Please contact us to learn more about cosmetic bridges and crowns.

Digital dental X-rays offer many advantages. Although the risk of radiation damage from normal X-rays is small, digital X-rays limit exposure by 90%, enhancing your safety significantly. To take a digital X-ray of your teeth, we insert a tiny camera into your mouth. The X-rays are then instantly transmitted to a computer screen, where your dentist will review them with you. You can see any problems for yourself while reviewing your treatment options together. Digital X-rays help you to be more informed about your own dental health. Dr. Oppenheimer, always a leader in State of the Art techniques is a consultant to the Worlds Leading Digital X-ray manufacturer, and as a result, always has the “Latest and Greatest” available for his patients. Root Canal Therapy
Root canal therapy is designed to correct disorders of the dental pulp - the soft tissue inside the tooth that contains nerves, blood vessels, and connective tissue. Teeth with abscessed, or infected, nerves were once removed, but now, in 95 percent of these cases of pulpal infection, the natural tooth can be saved through modern painless endodontic procedures, sometimes using our State of the Art Laser. Please contact us today for more information or to schedule an appointment.
Dental sealants are thin, plastic films painted on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth - molars and premolars - and are highly effective in the prevention of tooth decay (cavities). Dental sealants are particularly effective on the back teeth, as the back teeth contain more hard-to-reach pits and grooves that serve as a host to food debris and plaque build-up. Sealants are especially beneficial for children because their newly erupted, permanent teeth are most susceptible to cavities and least benefited by fluoride. However patients of all ages can benefit from sealants.
Dentures are replacements for missing teeth that can be taken out and put back into your mouth. While dentures take some getting used to, and will never feel exactly the same as one's natural teeth, today's dentures are natural looking and more comfortable than ever. There are two main types of dentures: full and partial. Dr. Oppenheimer will help you choose the type of denture that's best for you based on whether some or all of your teeth are going to be replaced and the cost involved.
Periodontal (Gum) Therapy
Periodontal (gum) disease can lead to more than just an unsightly smile - it can cause loss of teeth and, eventually, serious health problems if left untreated. Called gingivitis in its early stages, periodontal disease is caused by excessive toxic bacteria (found in plaque) that attack your mouth's soft tissues. Early warning signs of this disease include red, swollen, bleeding gums. If caught early, we can help you reverse the damage. If detected late, we can use one of many effective cosmetic dentistry procedures to restore your mouth to a healthy, beautiful state. We help you keep your teeth and gums strong and disease-free through regular examinations and cleanings and esthetic recon touring of the gum line. Please contact our office today to schedule a periodontal therapy appointment.
Through over 30 years of extensive oral surgical experience, Dr. Oppenheimer provides his patience with gentle kind care, with the least amount of stress possible. With a combination of local anesthetics (Lidocaine), and many other available techniques, such as nitrous oxide (sweet air), oral or IV sedation, he insures the most relaxed oral surgery experience possible.
