Temperomandibular joint, popularly known as TMJ, connects your lower jaw and temporal bone. This bone is found on the skull. TMJ constitutes a series of nerves muscles, cartilaginous disc and blood vessels. These muscles allow us to speak, chew food, open and close our mouths.
